Chandrayaan-3 Science Data Analysis Workshop

Chandrayaan-3 mission is aimed at demonstrating landing and roving on the lunar surface. The mission configured with a Lander, Rover and a Propulsion module is gearing up for launch this year.For the first time, in-situ measurements will be carried out at southern high latitudes on the Moon to study the thermo-physical properties, plasma environment, seismicity and to derive elemental composition in the vicinity of the landing site. The in-situ data will provide ground truth to remote sensing observations from Chandrayaan-2 orbiter.

It is planned to organise “Chandrayaan-3 Science Data Analysis Workshop” during March 28 – 29, 2023 at Indian Space Science Data Centre (ISSDC), IDSN campus, Byalalu, Bangalore.

The focus of the workshop is to

• Brief the Indian lunar science community comprising of faculty and the research studentsabout the capabilities of Ch-3 science payloads
• To give hands-on training with the available payload tests’ data.

Agenda

The workshop will comprise lectures and interactions on the scientific context, mission aspects, payload details, as well as hands-on training on using the Chandrayaan-3 payload data. Download the detailed program schedule here
