Chandrayaan-3 mission is aimed at demonstrating landing and roving on the lunar surface. The mission configured with a Lander, Rover and a Propulsion module is gearing up for launch this year. For the first time, in-situ measurements will be carried out at southern high latitudes on the Moon to study the thermo-physical properties, plasma environment, seismicity and to derive elemental composition in the vicinity of the landing site. The in-situ data will provide ground truth to remote sensing observations from Chandrayaan-2 orbiter.
It is planned to organise “Chandrayaan-3 Science Data Analysis Workshop” during March 28 – 29, 2023 at Indian Space Science Data Centre (ISSDC), IDSN campus, Byalalu, Bangalore.
The focus of the workshop is to
The workshop will comprise lectures and interactions on the scientific context, mission aspects, payload details, as well as hands-on training on using the Chandrayaan-3 payload data. Download the detailed program schedule here
